MAY 18 – 20 WEEKEND SPECIAL: Soak up the energy of Spring’s renewal with this three night special at Seanook May 18 – 20. We’ve extended our Winter rate for this extra weekend experience, for 2 people $350 for the weekend, plus free admittances to the Botanical Gardens: 4 people, $450; 6 people, $550. More vouchers for the Gardens and guided Nature Walk in the woods the same as above. Additional charges will be limited to 7% state tax and optional linen rental at $25 for 2 people or $50 for more.
Spring is always a glorious season here with the delicate pastels of emerging leaves covering the hillsides and contrasting with the bright blue or steel grey water of the ocean depending on the day; both are equally intriguing. There is always another bird species joyously returning.
JUNE 2-3, BREWERY TOUR & McSEAGULL’S DINNER DISCOUNTS: Stay at Seanook for two nights and enjoy a Saturday tour at the Boothbay Brewery with beverage, a dinner discount at McSeagull’s, and a hop seedling for which we will provide a planting spot and care. For two nights at Seanook the cost is $400; or $520 for four.
For micro-brewery fans what a happy way to kick-off summer in Maine. Following your tour you can relax while you look out over the clear water of Linekin Bay, or partake of the many other activities in the area such as hiking, boat excursions, lighthouse tours, fine dining and much more. The Saturday brewery tours start at 1:00pm. Come by just ahead of that to leave off your luggage, freshen up and pick up your tickets. We will see you after 4:00pm for check-in! The entire cottage will not be ready until then.

SHOULDER SEASONS (two weeks at each end of summer) June 23 – July 6, & August 25 – September 7, 2012. Weekly rentals only. Maximum 9 people. $2700/week
SUMMER SEASON July 7 – August 24, 2012 – Weekly rentals only. Maximum 9 people $2900/week.

FALL & SPRING (May 19 – June 22, and September 8 - October 26, 2012 ) $1400/week or $200/night 1-2 people, + $30/night per additional person. Two night minimum. Maximum 9 people. Children count as people! THANKSGIVING is rented at these Fall rates.
Also MONTHLY rates for April and May at $1200/mo + utilities, and June at $4000/mo including utilities ending on June 22 (May 19 – June 22, 2012).

WINTER SEASON (Oct 29, 2011 – May 18, 2012) – Two night Minimum, except Christmas week which is rented by-the-week only. (THANKSGIVING is rented at Fall rates, above). Rent any WEEK and get two extra nights FREE! Maximum 6 people.
Rent any two nights for $350 (2 people) in WINTER and get a THIRD NIGHT FREE! 4 people, $450, 6 people $550.
$175/night for 1-2 people (+ $30/night for each additional person)
$1200/week for 1-2 people (+ $30/night for each additional person. Children count as people!)
10% discount if you rent for 2 consecutive weeks.
Longer Stays in Winter: If you would like to experience the delight of a Maine winter ON THE WATER for a longer period, we are offer at Seanook a special MONTHLY rental rate for January, February and March of $1000/month PLUS UTILITIES and a MONTHLY rental rate for April and May of $1200/month plus utilities. (Winter utilities at Seanook can run anywhere between $650 and $1100 per month depending on how you manage them. Firewood is the least expensive heat.) The REFUNDABLE deposit is $2000 to hold your reservation for the total period, and will be returned after you leave if everything is as you found it, except that we will itemize and subtract your utilities. This is based on two to four person occupancy with occasional guests possible up to not more than nine people total. Children count as people! No pets.
Snug and toasty by the fire and surrounded by water on three sides, you can watch the storms sweep across the bay, the varying ice formations float back and forth, the seasmoke, the many varieties of ducks flying, floating and diving, the seagulls riding the updrafts, and an occasional eagle. In Boothbay Harbor, just three miles away, the best restaurants are still open and there is plenty of parking; the pace is a little slower and the attention a little warmer.
Other rental information: At Seanook children are important: they count as people for both rates and occupancy. We sometimes use per person rates to make prices more equitable for smaller groups. Many guests bring their own linens, or they may be rented for $50. These include sheets, towels and kitchen linens for the whole house and all your guests for your entire stay. Two people may rent linens for just $25 per stay. You are welcome to use as many of our pillows and blankets, provided in the many chests and drawers around, to make the beds to suit your own desires and keep you at just the right personal temperature, whether or not you bring your own linens. You will find bed sizes under the room descriptions below.
Another option you will find on our rate sheet is to keep YOUR BOAT at our dock for $100/week.
We are required to collect 7% lodging tax for the state. We will figure the correct amount and itemize it on your contract.
Arriving at Seanook in Spring, weekly vacation rental

When you contact us, we will email you our two brief contracts with rate totals for your length of stay and number of guests. These will be our Contract/Rate Sheet and our Indemnity Release. Please sign and return these with your deposit check. However, when you are ready to put the package in the mail, PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL US so that we can reserve the time for you temporarily for about a week in advance of its arrival. When it gets here, we will email you a receipt and ‘Directions to Seanook.’
DEPOSIT: As part of the total weekly rental, a $1000 non-refundable deposit or ½ of the total rent, whichever is less, is required in advance to hold your reservation. Cancellations more than 30 days prior to arrival will have the deposit refunded if we can re-rent the cottage. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival forfeit the deposit.
When you get here we will also require you to fill out a “Security Deposit Release” form authorizing us to charge your credit card should there be damage, replacement, or excessive cleaning necessary after your stay. We will destroy this if everything is all right after you leave. We do not retain credit card numbers. Alternatively, we would accept an additional $600 at the time of check-in. We would deposit this in our escrow account and issue you a check within a week after you leave, if everything at the house on your departure is as you found it on your arrival. If there are charges, we will provide you with an itemized statement.
PET POLICY: We like pets and most pet owners are wonderful. It’s just that some people spoil it for everyone else. So unfortunately, our pet policy has to go to the lowest common denominator.
We encourage you to enjoy your vacation rental without the added hassle of looking after your pet, or you could bring him here and board him quite reasonably close-by. If you must have him with you at Seanook, the charge is $600 (non-refundable unless the house on your departure is as you found it on your arrival) per stay, per pet. In the interest of doing our part to preserve the peaceful character of Linekin Bay, if your faithful friend barks or cries while left alone in the house, we reserve the right to require you to board him for the remainder of your stay.
