Amenities
The best attribute of Seanook is that it was built on the beach! It is tucked in next to a rocky point with the ocean about as close as it can get. This proximity to the water is what makes Seanook so special and rare, as federal guidelines require a large setback for new structures. Not only can you look down into the water from two sides, but at night the soothing sounds of its lapping are delightful for sleeping. The calm and the storms alike are all right there. You are front and center to nature and wildlife when you stay at Seanook!
Now for the practical details. Seanook is heated by a gas fired unit in the dining room that will carry the whole house in fall and spring. It is easily operated using the keypad with on/off button and up and down arrows for temperature. There is also a gas heater in the lower-level laundry room with-a-view. The gas fireplace/stove in the master bedroom is controlled by a thermostat on the wall by the door.
Best of all is the ambiance of our wood burning fireplace/stove insert in the livingroom. If you use the fan, it will blast you with heat. We provide firewood. We trust that you will use common sense and close the doors and windows if you are going to use heat. However, on a sunny afternoon, even in the coldest part of winter, you will have to dial everything back because of the wonderful passive solar gain from the southwest facing floor to ceiling glass.
Also downstairs there is a sunroom with fantastic views and a chair-and-a-half hide-a-bed, a double hide-a-bed in the sitting area adjacent to the diningroom, a bathroom with a glass vessel sink and a large shower, a laundry room with a view, high speed internet access, and a hot-tub that is available in the summer.
For your lodging upstairs at Seanook you will find three bedrooms and another bathroom with two sinks and a shower. The Master Bedroom features spectacular windows that wrap Linekin Bay around you on three sides. It has a gas stove, access to the upper deck, and a king sized bed that can be converted to two twins with advance request if you prefer.
The 2nd Bedroom features views toward the mouth of the bay, a queen bed and access to the upper deck just to the right of the view.
The small 3rd Bedroom features two twin/single beds that can be put together to make a king on advance request with floor to ceiling windows facing the head of the bay.
The diningroom sitting area on the main level with a double hide-a-bed sofa can be converted to a private Optional 4th Bedroom on advance request with the installation of a moveable wall. However, this blocks one third of the water view from the kitchen, that to the head of the bay, so we suggest using it without the wall completely deployed. This full double hide-a-bed sofa is as comfortable as a regular bed.
There is an additional single hide-a-bed available in the sunroom. The views are fantastic, but there is no privacy.
