Paradise Cottage with evening light, July, weekly vacation rental
Paradise Cottage is rented by the week exclusively in Summer. Children are included as people for both rates and occupancy! We do shorter stays in Winter. Please see below.
SUMMER SEASON (June 23 – Sept 7, 2012) – Rented by the week
$1590/week for 1-3 people
$1790/week for 4-6 people
FALL & SPRING (May 19 – June 22, 2012 & September 8 – October 26, 2012) Two night minimum
(also Thanksgiving week – Rented by the week only)
$170/night for 1-2 people + $30/night for each additional person
$1090/week for 1-3 people. $1490/week 4-5 people.

WINTER weekend SPECIAL: Rent two nights and stay the third night free. $300(2ppl), or $400(4ppl) plus tax and $25 for linen rental if desired. That’s it for the whole weekend: come directly from and to work, or pick any days. Also applies to people from afar! Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks by-the-week only, but rent a week any time and get two free nights!

Longer Stays
If you would like to experience Maine in the winter for a longer period, we are offering a special MONTHLY RATE for December, January, February and March at $800/month plus you pay the utilities. (Normally our utilities for this period run around $600/mo. for TV, phone, electricity and heating fuel.) You may stay for one, two or three months. Our REFUNDABLE deposit is $1000, and we require first and last months due ON arrival. The refundable deposit will be returned after you leave if everything is as you found it, and all utilities are current. This is based on two people occupancy with occasional guests up to 4 people. One month minimum.
April & May could be rented similarly for $1000/mo + utilities. One month minimum. The whole month of June ( four weeks starting in May and ending by June 22) can be enjoyed for $3500/mo inclusive.
Other rental information about Paradise Cottage
At Paradise Cottage children are important! They are counted as people for both rates and occupancy. We have per person rates to make them more equitable for smaller groups. Many guests bring their own linens, or they may be rented from us for $25 for just two people and $50 for more. These include sheets, towels and kitchen linens for the whole house and all your guests. You are welcome to use as many of our pillows and blankets as desired to make the beds to suit your own preferences, whether or not you bring your own linens. You will find bed sizes under the room descriptions below.
We are required to collect 7% lodging tax for the state. We will figure the correct amount and itemize it on your contract.
HOW TO RENT PARADISE COTTAGE
When you contact us by either phone or email, we will email you our two brief contracts with rate totals for your length of stay and number of guests. These will be our Contract/Rate Sheet and our Indemnity Release. Please sign and return these to us along with your deposit check. However, when you are ready to put your envelope in the mail, be sure to CALL OR EMAIL US, so that we can reserve the time for you temporarily for about a week in advance of its arrival. When it gets here, we will email you with your receipt and “Directions to Paradise Cottage.”
DEPOSIT & CANCELLATIONS
As part of the total rent per week, a NON-REFUNDABLE security deposit of ½ the total rent is required in advance to hold your reservation. (The remainder will be due ON your arrival. If you have an emergency and are unable to come, we request that you reschedule at another available time. For this we require at least a month’s notice to re-rent your time. Otherwise you will forfeit your deposit.
When you get here, we will also require you to fill out a “Security Deposit Release” form authorizing us to charge your credit card should there be damage, replacement, or excessive cleaning necessary after your stay. We will destroy this if everything is all right after you leave. We do not retain credit card numbers. If there are charges, we will provide you with an itemized statement.

There are NO pets allowed at Paradise Cottage.
