Paradise Cottage Amenities
Paradise Cottage has a great room with living area that includes large windows to take advantage of the water views, a classic Franklin stove, dining table, and small kitchen in a separate corner that looks out on the cove. The two bedrooms are accessed down a wide hall that has four large windows looking into the woods. Also off the hall is the one bathroom. For 2010 there will be a second bathroom making the large end bedroom into a master suite. That room has two four poster twin beds that can be put together with advance request to make a king sized bed. It has views both of the water and woods, as does the middle bedroom, which has a queen bed. The washer and drier are included in the closet of the middle bedroom along with a private vanity sink.
Four doors access the large deck that wraps around two sides of the building. It includes a small gas barbecue, and a maple tree that grows through a hole in the deck and shades the outside dining table and six chairs. It is decorated with potted plants and boxes of impatiens which last from mid-June until mid-September. This part of the deck is a private outside retreat while also affording a view of the water.
As a guest at Paradise Cottage you may share the use of our back beach. The swimming there is the best on the bay because the water warms as the tide comes in over the sun-drenched pebbles of the protected cove.
Bedrooms
The closet of the middle bedroom houses the washer and dryer, and a convenient extra vanity sink. It has a queen sized bed and views of the bay and cove on one side and the mossy woods on the other. Be sure to sleep with the window open so you can wake up to birdsong in the morning. In March listen for owls calling at night. April evenings are joyous with the calls of returning Laughing Gulls and peepers singing from the pond.

The large end bedroom has four-poster twin beds that can be put together to make a king with advance notice. Both rooms have doors opening onto the deck. In addition to sounds of nature, you should listen for the various pitches of the fog horns drifting in through your open window as you fall asleep at night.
